Beyond Spaces

These are 3D online shopping spaces that the team I was on designed for Amazon. My role involved me collaborating with my team's stylists & art directors to ensure that each room's styling fit the each brand's aesthetic as well as ensuring that the layout & products were arranged to best display the products the space was intended to sell. My duties in each room varied depending on the needs of the project.

The software used for these projects primarily included:

Maya (Modeling & UVing)

Substance Painter & Photoshop (Textures)

Wicked: The Emerald City

On this project I was the primary artist for the entire space and I was responsible for:

  • the overall architecture of the room

  • importing & arranging the non-product props

  • creating the architecture materials (later adjusted by the project's secondary artist)

  • adjusting prop and product materials to best suit the stylists & art director's vision and to account for how those materials looked in scene

  • setting up the models for the animations & working with the tech team to get them working

  • creating low resolution models of the entire scene for upload

  • oraganizing the render process amongst several artists, upscaling all renders, and uploading the space for the tech team to put on site

Once Upon a Cottage - Princess Bedroom

On this project I was the primary artist on the Princess Bedroom and I was responsible for:

  • the overall architecture of the room

  • importing & arranging the non-product props

  • creating the architecture materials

  • adjusting prop and product materials to best suit the stylists & art director's vision and to account for how those materials looked in scene

  • lighting

  • adding noise & color variation to product model textures

  • creating low resolution models of the entire scene for upload

Holiday Toys Shop

On this project I was the secondary artist and I was responsible for:

  • working with the primary artist to configure & adjust the overall layout of the room as the project developed

  • creating the following assets:

    • the green cushions around the center tree & the back area

    • the paint brush stump

    • the orange, green, & yellow mountain shelving (later reworked into the rest of the room)

    • the cloud lights

    • the stained glass windows at the entrance

  • working with stylists to arrange props and product models

  • adding noise & color variation to product model textures

  • adjusting cameras & assisting with rendering

  • creating low resolution models of the entire scene for upload
